Have you ever been told not to ask the question why? This three-letter word has been the source of a great deal of contention. Why, is an entire question within itself. Some people see it as being rude to ask why when in reality you are seeking more knowledge and clarity. There are religious people that will tell you that you should never question God by asking, why? If one were to pause for a moment, the realization is that when you get an answer to the question of why there is a new opportunity to understand and learn something new. Why also has the ability to raise someone’s awareness and can provoke thought into topic areas that may have never been considered? Just for the sake of kicks and giggles; check out this list of why to determine if you know the answer or at least makes you pause to think for a moment.
· Why do people prioritize things over their health?
· Why do people get upset when someone asks them to repay the money they borrowed?
· Why don’t people wash their hands after using the bathroom?
· Why do people ride in cars with their feet hanging out the window?
· Why do people get upset when you call them out for their disrespect?
· Why is it hard for people to apologize?
· Why do batteries die without a warning?
· Why can’t we chew gum in church?
· Why is it wrong to wear white after Labor Day?
· Why do people say “Happy Memorial Day”?
· Why is assumed that heavier people are not quick on their feet?
· Why is it more expensive to eat healthy than to eat junk food?
The list can go on and on but as you can see, many times, it is necessary to ask the “why” questions. Never be afraid or ashamed to ask questions because the answers will increase your knowledge and empower you!
